I’m so glad to remain in this world because I really enjoy Lemming’s worldbuilding. This is the second book in the Mead Mishaps series, after That Time I Got Drunk and Saved a Demon. We follow the best friend of the protag from TTIGDASAD (spice trader Cinnamon): a plus size cheesemaker named Brie. The hero of the tale is our favorite bisexual blonde werewolf, Felix, who happens to be allergic to cheese and is kind of a golden retriever hero.

I did a blended read where I followed along with the physical book while listening to the audio version I borrowed from my local library. Hazel Addison does a wonderful job narrating and was lovely to listen to.

In comparison to the first book in the series, while it was just as fun and the pacing was better the plot wasn’t quite as good. The character arcs were amazing, though! There’s a lot of good consent work here.

If you’re looking for some fun and steamy fantasy romance that will make you literally laugh out loud (if you like irreverent humor), you need to check out this series!

CW: violence, light dubcon, kidnapping

Tropes in this book include: forced proximity, fated mates, light BDSM, knotting

I received a copy of this book to review. Thank you to NetGalley for the complimentary eARC and Orbit for the paperback copy. All opinions contained herein are my own.
