Ever After Always by Chloe Liese is a contemporary romance and the third book in the Bergman Brothers series.

This installment follows the eldest Bergman daughter, Freya, and her husband Aiden, who are hitting a bit of a rough patch in their marriage. The first two books in this series heavily feature sports, but Aidan is a college professor and Freya is a physical therapist. I picked this one up because I wanted to read through the series in-order, but it probably wouldn’t have been on my radar otherwise.

This is a second-chance romance, which don’t always work for me. I appreciated the neurodivergence rep, as Aidan has an anxiety disorder which sometimes leads to panic attacks. I also really loved the couple’s cats, and the heavy focus on clear and consistent communication.

“Love’s true test, the measure of its strength, is its bravery to be honest, its willingness to face the hardest moments and say, Even though there’s nothing to be done, at least I have you.”

There is a bunch of talking about fertility and wanting to have a baby, so if that’s something you try to avoid in fiction please be aware. There are several scenes of them attending marriage counseling.
