A Pirate’s Life for Tea by Rebecca Thorne is a the second book in her Tomes and Tea cozy fantasy series.
In this installment, we continue to follow our leads Reyna, a former Queen’s guard, and Kianthe, the most powerful mage in existence as they follow their quest that we learned about in the first book. Along the way, we meet Serina, a failed farmer turned river pirate, and Bobbie, a local constable. These two ladies have some past history, but they’re totally just friends…
I did a blended read with my physical copy (a gift from the publisher) while listening to the audio I borrowed from my local library. This series is really cute and cozy and easy to get lost in! The beginning was a little on the slow side for me, but then the book really hit its stride. I’m excited to see what our two lovebirds will get up to next.
