The Thursday Murder Club is a cozy mystery with some emotional punch and the first book in the eponymous series by Richard Osman.

I truly cannot believe that I slept on this series for so long. Friends who live in a retirement village have a weekly meeting to investigate unsolved murders. But then they get distracted when a murder happens right at their doorstep.

Gosh, this book. I had such a fun time reading this book! Cheers to Osman for also knowing just when and how to rip out my hearts and stomp on it.

I’m so glad I have several more books from this series that I can inhale. I’m going to attempt to ration them slowly, and get the audiobooks from the library, BUT we’ll see how long that lasts.
