Her Majesty’s Rebels, #3

Road Trip with a Rogue is the third book in a historical romance series following women who run London’s most successful private investigation firm by Kate Bateman.
Though this is the third book in a series, you can read it as a standalone. I was so excited for Daisy’s book and reader, I absolutely ate it up. I read it on my Kindle and I savored it.
Kate Bateman has quickly become an auto-read author for me, because I know I’m going to have a good time. I adore how she writes banter between her mains, and her steamy scenes are great. Not to mention, her covers have some of the best clinches in the modern era.
I’ve loved Daisy throughout the series so far–she seems so cool and fun, always armed with knives. Lucien was a great partner in crime for her, and I absolutely bought their chemistry.
I had a lot of fun with this book! I completely agree with the author here:
If you like banter, highwaymen, only one bed, forced proximity, two idiots who love fighting as foreplay, and SO MUCH YEARNING, then absolutely read this book because you’re going to LOVE IT.
Tropes: second chance, enemies to lovers, road trip, forced proximity, he falls first, only one bed, brother’s best friend
CW: violence, firearms, abduction
