Wedding Dashers is a delightful contemporary romance debut from Heather McBreen.

I borrowed the audiobook from my local library system and did a blended read along with my physical review copy. I enjoyed my listen!

Though the beginning was a little slow and was a little meandering at times, once it picked up I had fun! I loved the banter between our mains and I lost count how many times I laughed aloud while reading.

I identified a lot with the FMC, Ada. I, too, am a “fixer” by nature, and had extra responsibility thrust upon me when I was a little young. I’ve also had similar previous relationship experience. Needless to say, I was rooting for her the whole time to grow as a character and find the life and love she deserved.

The author has another book coming out in early 2026, and I’m excited to read it.

Tropes: road trip, mistaken identity, enemies to lovers, only one bed, forced proximity, best man/maid of honor, slow burn

CW: divorce, death of a parent (prior to book, referenced), domestic abuse (prior to book, referenced)

I received a complimentary review copy from Berkley Romance. All opinions contained herein are my own.

“But I don’t think marriage is about finding someone who makes forever easy, because no one can do that. I think marriage is about choosing someone over and over again no matter how hard things get.”
